Violence against women is perhaps the most shameful human rights violation. And it is perhaps the most pervasive. It knows no boundaries of geography, culture, or wealth. As long as it continues, we cannot claim to be making real progress towards equality, development, and peace. —UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, 1999

Australian brothels and sexual slavery
“….the Australian Government is asking these women to testify against their exploiters and then forcing them to return to a country where their own lives and those of their families would be in serious danger. This is not protection we are offering them, except in the sense implied by the term “protection racket”.

A poem.
A parade.
A community.
A school.
